The New Year has surely brought colder temperatures to Texas.   Winter weather can bring beautiful snow (like some parts of Texas experienced this past weekend) but this weather can also cause other issues.   Having temperatures below freezing can risk frozen pipes, which can create a disaster to your home or business.

Frozen pipes occur when exposed to cold weather, such as those outside your house, or in areas such as attics, garages, or kitchen cabinets.  A frozen pipe can burst at the point where the ice blockage inside the pipe is located, but typically the rupture is caused by the backflow of pressure between the water source and the blockage.
